A consolation collection.
Square Pepe shipped with a dust pipeline: every burn would split a tiny share of the contract's ETH balance to the burner. We documented it. We thought it was cute. It turned out to be a footgun.
function sweep() external nonReentrant { uint256 bal = address(this).balance; if (bal == 0) return; _distributeDust(bal); }
sweep() was permissionless on purpose — anyone could flush stuck ETH
back through the dust pipeline. But people kept calling it on a whim, draining the
buffer to zero. By the time real burners showed up, there was nothing left to
distribute. Mechanically correct. Socially broken.
MemePepe is the apology. A fully on-chain chibi degen pepe, free 1:1 for every Square Pepe holder, paid mints capped at 40/wallet for everyone else. No team allocation, no dust pipeline, no surprises this time.
